Freedom in Georgia declines by 25%:

Tax Freedom Day update

0
Tax Freedom Day for 2015

Just how free are you? It may depend on where you live. Tax freedom day is when your private property and earnings truly become yours. Until this date, you’re working just to pay the cost of federal, state, and local taxes. You can find where you stand on this with the chart below (click on the chart for an easier-to-read version).

Here in Georgia, we rank 20th (down from the 15th last year) on the chart below.
A darker color means your wallet is in a bad “state.”
A lighter shade means you’re closer to being in the “black”.

One of the first things clients learn about financial numbers is that they don’t mean much in isolation. The secret to reading financial reports is the ability to spot trends. Even our big-spending Congressman friends can spot the financial trend in the chart below. Year by year, you’re becoming less free.

Are you getting tired of this trend? Would you like to keep more of what’s yours?

Remember that we’re just a click away when you need help.
