Who really pays their “Fair Share” -Part II

Posted on August 7, 2012 by David Conley in For Individuals

Share of taxes paid by top 55Looks like the argument for the rich paying their “fair share” is getting weaker
and weaker. Hover your mouse over the chart to see the graphic proof of who really
pays their fair share-Part I.

Facts are stubborn things and the fact is that the top 5% of earners have gone from shouldering about 28% of all income taxes to carrying 40% of the entire income tax burden.

So once again, we ask our liberal friends, just how much is enough? Should those with less than 30% of the income pay 75%, 115% or more of the total?
